a little bit about me…

I have been designing spaces for as long as I can remember! From VHS tape “houses” for my Barbies and week-long mansion builds for my Sims, to endless DIY projects at my own home today, space planning has always come very natural to me. However, natural doesn’t always mean obvious. Despite excelling in AutoCAD and interior design class in high school, I was a confused teenager who decided to pursue a different route in the design world. Hey, who doesn’t love a good detour? {Insert graphic design degree and career here}.

It’s funny how much you learn as you get older and how little you actually knew back when you thought you knew it all! Today I am thriving in my true passion, space planning, by working as a kitchen and bath designer. When I reflect back, I see how obvious this path was all along. I wake up excited to go to work each day and help people make their dream spaces a reality. That’s all anyone can really ask for in my opinion!

I spend most of my free time outdoors. I love hiking, kayaking, Jeep rides, gardening, days on the lake in the sun and nights around the firepit with a good beer. My friends, family and dogs are very important to me and I enjoy spending quality time with them as much as possible. Sports have always been a part of my life since I was a kid, rather I am competing or watching the big game on TV or in person. I also enjoy DIY projects and woodworking - check out my hobby Instagram page sometime!
